The hat is the most traditional way for street artists to monetize their work. Unlike buying a ticket, the hat is usually at the end and without a fixed amount, and above all, it is inclusive. The hat symbolizes freedom, trust, generosity, and awareness.
CROWDFUNDING
It is a collection of money intended for the production of a project. Like the hat, it relies on the sum of individual possibilities to build collectively. Unlike the hat, it occurs mainly before the realization as that money will be invested during the creative process.
PATRONS
The figure of the patron is a key figure in the history of art. They are individuals who choose to financially support artists so that they can focus on their creations. It differs from the hat and crowdfunding because the contribution is more substantial and often not focused on a specific creation but on the artist as a whole.
